In our Church school community, everyone is valued, nurtured, unique and individual. Through our faith, we hope everyone will live, learn and love fully. Guided by our Christian values, we strive to develop strength and courage so our children meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. ‘We are brave and strong and stand fast in faith; all that we do, we do in love.’ 1 Corinthians 16:13
Our Design Technology curriculum is linked to our topic areas and covers a broad area of skills which are developed through the school. Each theme follows the design, make and evaluate process and we focus on leading designers relating to each topic. Jamie Oliver’s healthy school lunches led way to designing healthy pizzas and Renzo Piano’s design of the Shard in London is considered when making structures. We hold cake making competitions and our Year 6 children sew a teddy out of their school jumpers when they leave.
